Blue Reef Island is located just 8 miles from Dangriga, only a 20-minute boat ride from the mainland, and you find yourself on your own luxury private island paradise! The close proximity to the Belize Barrier Reef makes it a perfect location for fishing, diving and snorkeling.
The 3-acre private island is home to just 5 cabanas, all overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Each cabana has a/c, inside and outside showers and large glass doors that open up the views of the Caribbean. The premium cabana boasts a private plunge pool located on the veranda.
There are 2 restaurants and bars. Blue Reef Restaurant & Bar, the overwater dining area. The Palapa is located at the open thatch area by the pool.
Our pool and hot tub are located by The Palapa, overlooking sunset views of the Maya Mountains to the west. The area is completely private for our island guests.
Blue Reef Caribbean Resorts Ltd are an agent for Tropic air and can reserve these flights for you. You do not need to pay for them until check in. If you experience any International delays or you need to change or cancel the reservations, there are no penalties.
The flight takes about 20 minutes, costs US$165.00 (you pay upon check in) round-trip and is an exciting ride. Have your camera ready as you fly low enough to take in all the beautiful scenery with the Maya Mountains on one side and the reef on the other. We will arrange the transfer to the island upon arrival.
For groups, we can help arrange land transfer by van and it takes around 3 hours to drive to Dangriga from Belize International Airport. The cost is circa $450-500US one-way.
